My name is Dan. Nice to meet you! I’m a third-year economic student in Uvic. My educational goal is to enhance my learning abilities and develop necessary skills for education in an online environment. Last year, it is my first time experiencing online learning. To be honest, It’s challenging for me to adapt a new educational style because I haven’t even heard about the online tools before, like Zoom, Microsoft Team, Brightspace. The virous operating interfaces are frustrating. In last semester, I am struggling with switching between those online tools. Moreover, independent studying is also difficult for me. Sometimes I had a hard time to focus on the recording video, and I can’t help being attracted to other things. However, I enjoyed the experience of online learning after being familiar with those online tools. Besides that, I gradually figure out that remoting education is so timesaving that I can go to school with one click instead of taking a bus to school.
The online educational skills are urgent for current scenario due to the COVID-19, and I believe it’ll be the destination that future education pursues. Thus, I decided to find out more about online learning by taking this course. My expectation for this course is to gain some basic online teaching skills, and explore the efficient ways to learn and deliver ideas.
